Rooks & Raven is a Charleston, SC retro rock outfit that proudly crafts a “defiantly unfashionable” strain of American rock—guitar driven, melody rich, and steeped in the spirit of the 1970s but with a modern edge. At the heart of the sound is powerhouse vocalist Allison Forbes, whose dynamic range and fearless delivery cut through the mix and anchor the band’s live attack.

Beyond the stage, Allison is a fitness professional and founder of Forbes Fitness, where she blends personal training, yoga, endurance coaching, and mindfulness to help clients “challenge the body, challenge the mind.” That same discipline—breathwork, stamina, and mental focus—fuels her performances, giving Rooks & Raven shows their unmistakable intensity and presence.

A tireless community builder, Allison channels her love for animals and local arts into events like Local Fund Fest, a music festival she founded and has raised over $7,000 for rescue work—proof that her voice carries well beyond the microphone.
